The Bower Burlesque is back this October with their unique brand of immersive entertainment that is seductive, dark and surreal.
As a Halloween treat producer Plastik Soup and venue Low302 are hosting not one, but two sittings of the show on Thursday the 29th so it’s time to come and play, at a safe distance of course.
As always you’ll be hypnotised by the months line up of incredible artists including burlesque, contortion, comedy, contemporary dance and more.

MEET THE CAST
Hot off the heels from touring the USA and Canada with The Empire Strips Back, and recently performing with Sukki Singapora in Japan, Natalya Alessi is no stranger to the stage.
As Creative Director of Plastik Soup Natalya produces various entertainment around Sydney including The Bower and Late Night Buffet.
Upon graduating from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Natalya began her professional career dancing for various companies including Chrissie Parrott Contemporary Dance Company, The Ninth Floor Performance Company, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea, and The Venetian Macau.
On returning to Australia Natalya began performing burlesque where she has enjoyed the stage of many regular cabaret and variety shows as well as national and international tours and various festival seasons.
Natalya was recently awarded Miss Burlesque Australia 2019 'Entertainer of the Year'.

Neven is a variety artist who was dancing through the Mediterranean with Cirque du Soleil before Covid sent him packing home to Australia. A member of local comedy hip-hop company Phly Crew and Buggy Bumpers Crew he is also co-founder of working_title Productions and credits include Dirty Dancing, The Empire Strips Back Burlesque, Meow Meow’s Pandemonium at the Sydney Opera House, We.Are.Sound Company and the US-based Project Home.
Most recently Drew performed in Larry’s Odyssey by Vashti Hughes, directed by James Winter. With ERTH visual and physician theatre company in their national tour of The Prehistoric Aquarium, directed by Scott Wright. The Kids Café at the Sydney Opera House. Deathtrap at the Darlinghurst Theatre, directed by Jo Turner and Jack and the Beanstalk, Directed by Chira Guidi for the Adelaide festival. He has also writtenfor Accolade Events Company in the reimagined Soveriegn Hill light and sound spectacular.
Before that Drew worked with Lisa Chappell as director of Bad Day Insurance. As dramaturge on Here- a Verbatim Theatre piece through Warringah council, directed by Kristine-Landon Smith, Tamasha Theatre Co UK. Version 1.0 in The Major Minor Party- as an actor devisor. Terripin Puppet Theatre Company as a writer of Pip and Pooch. Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre as a writer/director on their new musical – Oh My God I’ve Been Kidnapped and I Hate what I’m Wearing. Purse of the Mummy for Marguerite Pepper Productions and the Casula Arts Centre.
For Television Drew has performed in –The Kangaroo Gang- King of Thieves- for the BBC and is featured in Anne Fontain’s Australian/French feature film- Adore and Mat Govoni’s –The Misfortune of Others. He is a regular in Ariana Bossi’s six part comedy series The Stereo Complex (featuring Marcus Graham and Christa Hughes)
Drew has had a long association with actress/comedian Kate Smith and together they have written and performed three plays – Bangers and Mash, The No Chance in Hell Hotel and The Unspeakable Itch- the first two of which toured extensively through Australia, The UK, The US and Hong Kong.
Drew has also produced several short films including – I Killed an Ibis, Bubble and a six part webisode series called Upgrade.

Fierce. Formidable. The Feminist Fatale. Miss Alyssa Kitt is the golden hair dream made of curves and cream. A purveyor of The Naked Arts and notorious bad girl of bump and grind. Alyssa is a powerfully enigmatic performer who’s renowned worldwide for her cascading strawberry blonde locks, brain-melting decadence and scintillatingly sinful tease. Her raw and athletic style has seen her sear across the Las Vegas stage at the Burlesque Hall of Fame’s Miss Exotic World competition. In addition to winning a swath of Australian titles, she is the associate producer of Miss Burlesque Australia, Director of the Australian Burlesque Museum and is undertaking her PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies at City University New York.

Cassandra Merwood is a Sydney based dancer, choreographer, movement director, teacher & founder of Mission:Stiletto. Credits include Sony Music, Channel 7, The Empire Strips Back, JD Sports, Haiku Hands and a myriad of recording artists.

Conceived deep within the labyrinth of the rabbit hole. Born into a tantrum of tomfoolery, raised in a shanty in the backwoods of bewilderment. Uno; One of many has spent the better part of the last decade traipsing around the globe deciphering the key to calamity. Uno has Performed and wowed crowds all over Australia, and in over 20 countries around the world. Wether it be festivals, corporate events, on the street or in the theatre, Uno is known for his ability to elicit eccentric, ephemeral and entertaining experiences wherever he goes. The unstable king, the wondering rapscallion, the one, the only. UNO; one of many.
