MEET THE CAST
The multiple award deserving, 2nd best David Bowie impersonator, Marlena Dalí is the manifestation of chaotic gender expression filtered through the art of clown and exquisite drag. Marlena is the weekly host for That’sEntertainment at the Newtown Hotel, and the co-creator and curator of The Oyster Club. They have shared the stage with the Boulet Brothers (Dragula), and Jinkx Monsoon (Rupaul’s Drag Race), and were forcibly removed from the Opera Bar at Sydney’s Opera House for lewd content.

With critics referring to her creations as inspired (THE AGE
MELBOURNE) and Sydney Sentinel celebrating her “extraordinary vocals in various styles”, Christine Ibrahim is a Lead Vocalist, Aerialist, Pianist and indelible force to be reckoned with!

Originally a classical vocalist and recipient of the Thomas Berry Scholarship, Christine found an unlikely love for alternative Rock music.
Whilst living on top of a pub in Pitt St, an 18 year old Christine would sneak into the Conservatorium of Music to write on their pianos (at this point the security was rather lack lustre) before going on to complete a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Performance for voice.
Christine found aerial acrobatics later in her performance career during a residency at The Victoria Room while playing piano and singing with her trio.
Within 6 months the former competitive rhythmic gymnast created her first singing aerial act.
In 2014, Christine went on to complete a professional aerial course with Aerial Angels, while simultaneously performing five nights a week with her singing lyra “Chandelier” act in Lyra and “Carmina
Burana” in a two-point harness.
Christine began crowdfunding to produce more of her original material including "Stay" in 2020, which is featured in the current production of Wonderfully Terrible Things.
Christine was one of the first producers to start creating work forartists after the height of the lockdown in Sydney in 2020, reprising the show Wonderfully Terrible Things in a big way with a cast of 12 at The Vanguard Newtown.
The show sold out within a week and has sold out since and is continuing in Sydney with dates locked in for Melbourne and Brisbane later this year.
