The Bower Burlesque is back this December with their unique brand of immersive entertainment that is dark, seductive and surreal.
Produced by Plastik Soup and Australia's burlesque Entertainer of the Year, Natalya Alessi and venue Low302 are hosting two sittings of the show on Thursday the 17th so it’s time to come and play, at a safe distance of course.
As always you’ll be hypnotised by the months line up of incredible artists including burlesque, contortion, comedy, contemporary dance and more.

MEET THE CAST
Growing Arizona brings her sultry energy and showgirl to performance spaces ranging from dark lit podiums to dig bright stages around Sydney. Her acts are often dark and sensual, transversing genres of pole dance, circus and burlesque.
Jackson is a performance artist bringing queer stories and history to the forefront of his work. He graduated from The Australian Ballet School in 2016, and has since been performing predominantly with Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures in the U.K. Working with Bourne, Jackson has performed works such as “Romeo and Juliet” and “Cinderella” all over the globe, including debuting on Broadway with the Premier Tour of “The Red Shoes”. Jackson has since returned to Australia to continue training his ever growing style with Sydney Dance as a Pre-Professional. Making his way now into burlesque, Jackson performs for the love of story telling and sensuality.
Lady fur is the beauty and the beast of Sydney drag. Her origins in exotic dance will have you entranced by every fluid motion of her furry body. Be prepared to be aroused, mesmerised and questioning all you know about gender and sexuality.
Lou P SCARLETT
Born in the depths of Sydney's cabaret and music scene she is an elegant, eccentric, garbage-glamour showgirl using vocal looping and original pop music to create her own brand of surreal and satirical futuristic burlesque.
2nd Runner Up of Miss Burlesque NSW 2018, she has graced your TV screens and stages both nationally and internationally singing, hosting, performing and producing events for private and corporate functions, award ceremonies, variety shows and extravagant theatre productions.
She has performed for company's including Model Co., Retrosweat (Channel 7), Affinity Diamonds, CR Kennedy, the Promax Awards (Host 2019), Stocklands and Hong Kong Cancer Fund Ball (HK 2017/2020) to name a few and now she has her sights set on bringing all of your technicolour fantasy's to life.
Some of her recent productions include The Philosophers Strip - A Harry Potter Burlesque Parody (Choreographer/Creator/Performer-Oxford Art Factory 2018), her first solo show Time in Lou (Sydney Fringe 2018) and producing and hosting pop music night Cherch (Knox St Bar 2019/2020 funded by City of Sydney Arts Grant).
In a previous life, this tall, pink haired beauty studied full-time dance at Brent Street (2009) and completed her Bachelor of Music (Theatre) with Distinction at the Australian Institute of Music (2013) before gained her first starring role as the resident singer in Timeout Sydney's #1 Burlesque show Risqué Review (Slide Lounge 2014-18). Since then she has gone on to host and sing in various residential shows at Slide including Gin Mill Social, El Circo Blanc, El Circo, Voyeur and Covergirl.
She has performed at various festivals and shows including GPO's Crystal Boudoir (2019), Employees Only (2019), Secret Garden Festival (2018), Watsons Bay Hotel ( NYE 2019), Home The Venue (NYE 2018), Australian Burlesque Festival (2018/2019), Claire’s Kitchen Pop-Up Cabaret (2017), Plastik Soup's Late Night Buffet (Bondi Feast 2018), Daddy Issues Dance Comp (Sydney Fringe 2019), Royal Heart Revue (2019), as well as many iconic Sydney party’s including Heaps Gay, Girl Thing, Rule 34, Hell Fire, Dr Sketchy’s Sydney, Uplate and Uncut, Mr Falcons Burlesque, Soultrap Revue, Canned Fruit Parties, Burlesque in Hand and Sideshow - Universal.
Hot off the heels from touring the USA and Canada with The Empire Strips Back, and recently performing with Sukki Singapora in Japan, Natalya Alessi is no stranger to the stage.
As Creative Director of Plastik Soup Natalya produces various entertainment around Sydney including The Bower and Late Night Buffet.
Upon graduating from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Natalya began her professional career dancing for various companies including Chrissie Parrott Contemporary Dance Company, The Ninth Floor Performance Company, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea, and The Venetian Macau.
On returning to Australia Natalya began performing burlesque where she has enjoyed the stage of many regular cabaret and variety shows as well as national and international tours and various festival seasons.
Natalya was recently awarded Miss Burlesque Australia 2019 'Entertainer of the Year'
